Meet Torta! Torta is a mostly black tortoiseshell girl who is about a year old. She got her start as an outdoor kitty with her momma and two brothers, but she quickly discovered she would much rather be an indoor cat. Torta absolutely loves other cats and will happily be friends with any new kitty who is friendly to her. She especially loves playing and hanging out with her foster brothers, chasing fuzzy ball toys, watching the world out of the window, and head, neck, and butt scritches. You can definitely tell when she's happy because this tiny girl has an extremely loud purr!

Because loud noises and sudden movements still startle her, she would do best in a home without small children but would love a home with other feline friends. If you want to help this super sweet but slightly shy baby girl continue to come out of her shell, please submit an application for Torta today!

We will talk to you and your references to get a feel of what you're looking for in a pet and if the particular pet would be a good fit

This is required. We want to see where the pet will be living and it gives us an opportunity to meet you!

A meet and greet will be arranged after you have been approved as an applicant

More about this rescue

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.

We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
