My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Luna and I am a one year old pup with lots of energy. I have been working on my crate training to help give me a routine/structure and have been doing amazing! I am a very fast learner and have been doing much better with my new routine and training.

I know how to go to the bathroom outside and sleep quietly in my crate all night long. I am very sweet and even love those tiny humans! I do get a bit jumpy with excitement, but with some continued training I can be the best pup ever!

I also love hanging out with other dogs, but my love for wrestling with other canine friends is not always every dogs cup of tea. However, I have been doing a lot better at realizing when my foster siblings don't want to play and give them some space. I do also enjoy chasing those things called cats way too much so a forever home without them would be best. If I had one word to describe me, it would be athletic as I am a very strong girl! I sometimes don't realize how strong I am, but with my new routine I have been learning quickly how to be a calm canine citizen. I love everyone I meet and can't wait for my forever family!

Everyone MUST submit an application to be considered for adoption

Interview

We will talk to you and your references to get a feel of what you're looking for in a pet and if the particular pet would be a good fit

Home Check

This is required. We want to see where the pet will be living and it gives us an opportunity to meet you!

Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be arranged after you have been approved as an applicant

More about this rescue

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.

We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
