My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Nutmeg and I am a beautiful 1 year old tabby with beautiful multi-colored eyes. I came to Paws when my owner could no longer take care of me. I used to live with my mom and brother, so I was really nervous when I first got here. After a week or 2 of being shy, I have realized life isn’t too bad in my foster home! I have a really nice foster mom. I love to follow her around bugging her til she pets and scratches me. I am very playful and will play on my own or enjoy interactive toys with my foster mom - if you have toys with strings I will love you! My absolute favorite thing to do is sit and watch the birds outside the window! So if you have a window for me I would be soooo happy! Because I am a little timid at times, I think I would prefer to be in a home without very small children. I seem to be doing ok with the other kitties in my foster home so I could probably get along with another kitty with proper introduction. I can’t wait to find my forever home - will it be with you?!

We will talk to you and your references to get a feel of what you're looking for in a pet and if the particular pet would be a good fit

This is required. We want to see where the pet will be living and it gives us an opportunity to meet you!

A meet and greet will be arranged after you have been approved as an applicant

More about this rescue

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.

We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
