Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Mowgli and I am part of a bonded pair with Loki. We are both GORGEOUS long hair brothers with the softest fur. We are going to turn 4 in October. Sadly, our loving owner passed away, so we are looking for our new forever home. I am the shyer of the two. I am very sweet and affectionate once I get to know you. I need a place to hide to feel most comfortable, but I will come out for pets. I particularly like to sleep with you at night, and will gently paw you until you let me under your covers! I'm a big guy and tend to take up a lot of room, but I bet you won't mind. I rely on Loki to help me feel brave, so I let him lead the way when we explore. We have been around small calm dogs before and didn't mind them. I don't love being picked up very much so most likely would not do well in a home with small children. Loki and I are ready to find a new permanent home full of love.

We will talk to you and your references to get a feel of what you're looking for in a pet and if the particular pet would be a good fit

This is required. We want to see where the pet will be living and it gives us an opportunity to meet you!

Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be arranged after you have been approved as an applicant

More about this rescue

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.

We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
