My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Martin, an adorable 7-month-old male Boxer-Shepherd mix, weighing about 40 pounds. Martin has a healthy dose of puppy energy but isn’t overly hyper. He loves going for walks and handles the leash well. This smart boy already knows some basic commands like sit, down, and come. While he can get a bit excited and jump up to greet you, his foster mom is working on curbing this behavior. His new family should be committed to continuing his training.

Martin enjoys playing with other dogs and cats, as his foster home has both. He loves chewing on bones and squeaky toys, keeping himself entertained. Martin is doing great with potty training and will sit by the door to signal he needs to go out.

He does experience some separation anxiety and isn’t a fan of the crate, but his foster mom is helping him with these issues. Martin loves his people so much that he gets upset when they’re out of sight. He would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to help him with his separation and crate anxiety.

This sweet young pup would love to join you on walks or snuggle on the couch. Because he tends to jump when excited, he would do best in a home with older kids to prevent accidental knock-overs. Martin is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped.

If you think your home would be a great fit for Martin, please fill out an application at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt. Martin will be available for adoption on or after June 16th, 2024, through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL#16182.
