My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jersey is a sweetheart. She is a very social girl, always excited to meet new people. A velcro dog through and through, Jersey's favorite place is anywhere you are. She will thrive in a home that can give her lots of love and attention.

A low-maintennace pup, so long as she is taken out on walks at least twice a day, Jersey can comfortably live in an apartment. She is still learning to listen to commands but she loves treats and positive reinforcement so she’ll be easy to train. Jersey knows not to pee in the crate or in the house, but will need to be taken out for potty breaks throughout the day to avoid accidents. She's adjusting and learning!

While Jersey is not a high-energy dog, she enjoys nice long walks and does very well on the leash-- she knows to stop at every corner, and waits for your command to cross the street. Jersey makes a fine jogging buddy! She doesn’t really play with stuffed toys or balls, so she'll need lots of enrichment toys to provide mental stimulation. Jersey can be a couch potato and nap throughout the day, but she’ll come to the kitchen and wiggle her tail when she smells your cooking!

A shy girl, it might take time for Jersey to show you her true personality, but once you see it you'll see why she is so special and deserving.

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
