My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm San Francisco 49ers, but some call me Pudge or Pudgy.

I am a happy, friendly, handsome little bug who loves snuggling, snacks and chew toys. I am totally house-trained and crate-trained, so I'm basically an apartment pro. I love to snuggle, and will be the most loyal, loving pup to my forever family.

Things outside still make me a little nervous, but with some patience and redirecting I am improving every day! I would do best as the only pet in a household, and I would especially love to find a forever home that has space for me to play (maybe even a backyard!). And no, I can't put my tongue in my mouth, but my foster mom says this makes me extra adorable!

Personality & Characteristics: Indoors, Pudgy is the friendliest guy who just wants to be by your side whatever you're doing. He gets all wriggly when he's excited, and he loves to snuggle. Pudge is so clever and picks up cues and tricks quickly, and it is the most rewarding thing in the world to see him absorb your love and give it right back to you. All he wants is to be someone's forever companion.

Outdoors, Pudgy has a little bit of stranger danger fear towards strangers, human and canine, so would likely do better in a quieter neighborhood. He would thrive in a peaceful environment, and he LOVES a garden. He loves sniffing flowers, and won't dig up your yard.

My foster dog is good with: Humans indoors. Very regular constitution so easy to get into a routine with him!
My foster dog is: crate trained & house trained!
3 Keywords for your pup: Affectionate, loyal, playful
Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 6 - doesn't need long walks, but gets zoomies a few times a day and loves to play tug of war/fetch to expend his energy, then he is totally happy being a big mush
Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Quiet inside, doesn't bark when the bell rings! Barks at other dogs outside
Walking Manners: Pulls on the leash and the previously mentioned stranger danger - he is improving every day!
Appetite: Very good appetite, easy eater (not picky!) and good digestion also.
Does the following: He's nervous outside but he does not seem to have separation anxiety or car sickness (he loves car rides!)
Favorite Things: Belly rubs and scritches, play time, nap time, dinner time :)
Commands/Tricks: Sit is my best trick, I'm working on wait and paw

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
