Personality and Characteristics

  • Canine Companions While Strega Nona gets along well with other dogs, she prefers to be the only dog in her future home. Larger dogs approaching her can make her a little uneasy, but with proper introductions and patience, she can enjoy the company of doggy friends.

  • Home Sweet Home Strega Nona is both crate trained and house trained, making her an excellent candidate for indoor living. She sheds very little, making her a low-maintenance furry friend in terms of grooming.

  • ‍ Walks and Manners ‍With her moderate energy level, Strega Nona adores going for walks with her human companions. She walks beautifully on a leash, making strolls a delightful experience for both of you.

  • A Good Eater This charming pup has a good appetite and thoroughly enjoys her meals. You'll find her eating with gusto, savoring every bite.

  • Bath Time and Training Strega Nona is a well-behaved gem when it comes to grooming. She calmly goes through baths and brushing, showing off her gentle nature. She has mastered the command 'Sit' and is eager to learn more tricks and commands with your loving guidance.

Join Strega Nona on Her Journey to Happiness If you're looking for a special companion with a heart of gold, The Strega Nona is the perfect match for you. Her charming winking face and loving demeanor will melt your heart, and her journey from survivor to a beloved family member will be a truly heartwarming experience.

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States.
