Hello, I'm Lucy the Lucky! I might be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a moment. I just need some time to sniff out the situation. Once I've warmed up, you'll find I'm as friendly as they come with people of all ages!

I get along with other dogs, so if you have other pets, we'll be a happy family. I don't mind being the only pet either, I can keep myself entertained. I'm a good listener and I promise to be there for you, through thick and thin.

I've been called 'Lucky' because despite my circumstances, I've never lost my gentle spirit. Found as a stray in Texas, I had a rough start but I strive to remain a beacon of happiness. I believe in second chances and I'm hoping for one with you.

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
