Truffle is such a sweet little girl with all the love to give. Despite some vision loss in one eye, she does all of the kitten things just fine. She loves her other cat playmates and older children too. She is a bit skittish with busy and loud noises, but is a love bug in the right environment. Favorite food: whatever the other cat is trying to eat. Favorite toy: a tall cat tree for perching and watching while staying out of the way. Favorite activity: helping sweep and doing laundry. The noises of tiny pieces of dirt rolling across the floor as you sweep will have her energy bursting to chase and watch, and she will patiently wait for the dryer sheets to become visible in a clean load of laundry, then grab it and play with it keeping you entertained while you fold and put away the rest! Truffle will need a cat friend in her new home.

Rescue/Shelter Description

The Village Mews was founded to improve the lives of stray, abandoned and displaced cats and kittens in upstate SC. We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit, in-home foster rescue. Our felines reside in caring foster homes, where they thrive in safe indoor environments. Any cat that is accepted into our foster program will remain with a loving foster family until adopted. Our volunteers work patiently with each cat providing them with medical care, socialization and rehabilitation. Once our cats are socially acclimated, in good health and have completed their medical requirements they begin their journey to finding their perfect forever homes.
As a volunteer based non-profit, we depend on the generosity and support of our Village. We are grateful for all monetary donations as well as in-kind donations such as dry/ canned food and litter. We rely on private contributions to continue our rescue efforts.
