My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB 3/14/2021

If a cat could dupe as a human, every lady would be swooning after this handsome and perfect fella!

Jack is a sweet, gentle boy around 3 years old who just wants a quiet place to call his own. Jack can be rather shy at first, but once he has had time to figure out that he is safe and feels like he can come out of his shell, he loves to follow around and observe his human friends while chatting to them about his day. When he’s alone during the day, Jack loves to take naps in cozy little hidey holes high up in the cat tree (or on top of your shelves) where he can keep an eye on everything going on down below. Jack would prefer a home where he is either an only pet or where the other pets in the household are older, calm animals (does okay with both dogs and other cats) who understand that he would rather snuggle than tussle or play. Jack has an autoimmune disorder that causes his skin to become sensitive and itchy if he goes off his medication (Atopica), so he will need an adopter who is comfortable with regularly delivering liquid oral meds to manage this long-term condition.

Jack is neutered, microchipped, combo tested (negative), fully vaccinated, and UTD on flea meds.

More about this rescue

Rescue/Shelter Description

The Village Mews was founded to improve the lives of stray, abandoned and displaced cats and kittens in upstate SC. We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit, in-home foster rescue. Our felines reside in caring foster homes, where they thrive in safe indoor environments. Any cat that is accepted into our foster program will remain with a loving foster family until adopted. Our volunteers work patiently with each cat providing them with medical care, socialization and rehabilitation. Once our cats are socially acclimated, in good health and have completed their medical requirements they begin their journey to finding their perfect forever homes.
As a volunteer based non-profit, we depend on the generosity and support of our Village. We are grateful for all monetary donations as well as in-kind donations such as dry/ canned food and litter. We rely on private contributions to continue our rescue efforts.
