From a shaky start as a three week-old kitten, Maximus has blossomed into a fun-loving mischief maker who is enjoying every minute of life. He can take a little while to warm up to new animals but gets along well with other cats and gentle cat-friendly dogs once he gets to know them. He‘s all boy and has a very rough and tumble style of play that might be too much for an older or more shy kitty and would likely do better with a dog or a younger, playful cat. Maxi is almost 6 months old, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Rescue/Shelter Description

The Village Mews was founded to improve the lives of stray, abandoned and displaced cats and kittens in upstate SC. We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit, in-home foster rescue. Our felines reside in caring foster homes, where they thrive in safe indoor environments. Any cat that is accepted into our foster program will remain with a loving foster family until adopted. Our volunteers work patiently with each cat providing them with medical care, socialization and rehabilitation. Once our cats are socially acclimated, in good health and have completed their medical requirements they begin their journey to finding their perfect forever homes.
As a volunteer based non-profit, we depend on the generosity and support of our Village. We are grateful for all monetary donations as well as in-kind donations such as dry/ canned food and litter. We rely on private contributions to continue our rescue efforts.
