My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pumpernickel! Pumpernickel is a white and gray tabby, approximately 3 - 5 years old. He was found as a stray in a Culpeper neighborhood and neighbors tell us he had been out there for years. We are guessing that someone moved and left him behind to fend for himself.

Pumpernickel is an absolute lovebug!!! He loves to be pet and held and will talk to you now and then, especially when you are running behind on meal preperation.  He loves the company of other cats and often "talks" to the kittens. He would be a fabulous companion cat. He meets you at the door and sleeps next to your pillow at night. He loves to sit on your lap and sleep beside you in bed.

Pumpernickel is already neutered, had his rabies and FVRCP vaccines, combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. No more paying to re-register every year - it's done for you. Interested in a little man to keep you company and brighten your days? Let us know! GoodMews22@aol.com or 540.717.4420.

More about this rescue

Our rescue is dedicated to the cats that have been forgotten - strays that are shy and frightened, abandoned cats that once had a home and are trying to come into a home for shelter, cats that need a little more TLC than most to trust again.

These cats are struggling on our streets to be noticed, struggling for survival. They need our love, our compassion, our help.

They are the forgotten cats.
The cats that most rescues "don't have time for."

ALL cats deserve love.
ALL cats deserve a good home.
ALL cats deserve to be treated with respect and given care.

Given time, love, and nurturing, these cats become wonderful, loving housecats.

Our rescue is for the forgotten cats. In my home, they are known as the Shrinking Violets, and I have fought for their right to be loved, receive care, and the respect they deserve. Please join me with your support.
