Sweet Pixie came from a breeding situation so adapting to a new life of freedom in a loving household has been very new for her. Because she knew nothing but raising babies to make income for the breeders, she sometimes spends time gathering up all the dog toys and placing them in a 'nest' to mother them. Cute, but sad, too.

Pixie is ready to move on to the next phase of transitioning to her new life -- a home of her very own. She is ready to start exploring new environments slowly and safely. Pixie seems more outgoing and comfortable when she's outside enjoying time in the fenced yard, exploring the yard with her canine companions. She enjoys the company of other dogs so feels more comfortable and safer with other friendly canines in the home. She also lives with a cat. Pixie's foster Mom and Dad say she likes to cuddle; she snuggles up and sleeps with them at night.
