My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet, shy girl originally came to us by way of Lee County Domestic Animal Services.  We took her in for the first time in April of 2021.  We finally found what we thought would be her forever home a year later in April of 2022.  We were so happy for her!  Unfortunately, there were health problems on the human side of her family and, in September of 2023, poor Bianca was returned to ARC.

We take great pride in the fact that ARC offers shelter to our residents for LIFE.  It doesn’t matter if a resident has been in a home for years.  We will take them back and find them a new home, or offer them shelter for the rest of their lives.  How many rescues can say that?

Bianca would really love to get back in a forever home.  She misses having a family, and would really do much better back in a home of her own.  Won’t you please come out and meet this sweet pup today!?

My ideal home:

I need a loving, quiet home to call my own...

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
