My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPT ME AND MY FRIEND!

Pluto is also laid-back compared to Leo and Apollo. Lately, he’s been very snuggly–curling up and sleeping on my husband’s lap. He would stay there as long as he could. He might be more people-oriented too, but he also plays well with everyone. He sleeps with Cosmo on occasion, but he’s comfortable sleeping alone too. He is pretty independent, like Luna. He’s good with nail trimming and comes when I click my tongue.

We are accepting early applications for those interested in adopting two or more kittens. If we are unable to find a good match for any of the kittens in pairs, they will be available individually (to a home with a playful and friendly kitty or two) at a later date. Please note that all these kittens are used to having a playmate, so they shouldn’t be solo kitties in their new homes. If you are interested in adopting multiple kittens from this group, please read more about our process and apply! If you’re unsure which kittens to choose, feel free to leave it open for discussion.

Additional adoption info

Upon receipt of your application, a volunteer will contact you to conduct a phone interview. From there, if you have other animals, we will perform a veterinary reference check to confirm your current animals are current on all vaccinations. We will also contact at least two personal references before continuing with your application. Once those items are complete, we will contact you to schedule a time to meet with you in your home. All application information will be verified, and we screen prospective adopters thoroughly for approval.

Once approved, you will be notified by email and work closely with our volunteers.

It is important to us that both you and your new family member are happy. As a result, we do our best to understand your expectations for your new family member and match you with a dog that meets your expectations as closely as possible. We desire that none of our dogs ever find themselves “back in the system.” Therefore we place our animals only into pre-approved homes.

More about this rescue

Border Kitty Rescue Division was created under Border Collie Rescue & Rehab-501 (c)(3) to save orphaned kittens. Our mission is to save orphaned kittens, provide them with medical care, once stable, we provide basic training, enrichment and socialization. All our kittens will be raised by Border Collies, Aussies and/or fabulous mixes, so the kittens will be comfortable with dogs in general. Once you adopt from us, you will be part of our BCRRT family. We believe in a life time commitment and our volunteers will stay in touch with all adopters so that we can continue supporting and sharing updates. Kittens will be dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We save Texas kittens, but we do adopt out of state.
