My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Llyong🩶🤍

* Towards People: He approaches strangers without hesitation and loves being petted when called. He accepts sudden touches calmly and waits by the door when he hears someone approaching. He’s very affectionate and loves people. 🥰
* Towards Dogs: He shows little interest in other dogs, only watching them.
* Towards Cats: He hasn’t met any yet.
* Separation Anxiety: None at all! He does well alone and with strangers. ☺️
* Potty Training: Prefers to go outside but will relieve himself on the floor if it’s urgent. He doesn’t mark indoors.
* Hygiene: He handles brushing calmly and tolerates teeth brushing even though he doesn’t like it. 😊
* Walks: Due to weak leg muscles, he walks slowly and sometimes sits down when tired. Regular walks and exercise are needed to strengthen his leg muscles. 💪
* Car Sickness: Not prone to car sickness! Initially drools a bit but eventually lies down and sleeps once accustomed.

💌Special Notes💌
* After spending about a year in a small kennel, his skin condition is poor and his hind leg muscles are weak, needing muscle strengthening.
* He doesn’t have a big appetite and prefers soft foods. He tends to swallow small-sized kibble whole, so care is needed.
* He has mastered "sit" and "wait"!

❗Health Status❗
* Neutered
* Other: Microchipped and fully treated for heartworms
* He has normal vision in his left eye, but is blind in his right eye.
* Currently on medication for bacterial dermatitis.
* Scheduled for scaling and surgical examination.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
