My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mila is a petite, energetic pup with a zest for life. She's a glass-half-full kind of girl and is excited about all things in life. Her favorites are playing with her doggy friends, exploring, getting lots of pets from her people and earning treats for being such a good girl! Truly, Mila is a ray of sunshine! Her sweet disposition is infectious, and everyone who meets her falls instantly in love! Mila is currently being fostered through our prison pet partnership.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

More about this rescue

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
