Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Saffi, a sweet, mellow girl who loves to hang out on the couch. Not one to mince meows, she will demand that treats and petting happen immediately when you get home, but is not too chatty otherwise.

Saffi is cautious with new people and situations, but once she gets to know you, she will shower you with love. She has recently decided that being a lap cat is a good thing, and also enjoys perching over your shoulder or sitting beside you. It is sometimes difficult to get a photo, as she wants to be right where you are. With a little time and patience, Saffi will make a loving addition to your home.

1.
Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
