My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please check here for updated adoption hours.

I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.

I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.

A volunteer writes: Moosh is a very well loved cat with the best sense of humor. He was loved in his home and is absolutely beloved at the Care Center. I, for one, love big cats and Moosh is a big boy with even bigger plans. With one of his primary objectives being to explore the Care Center, he would sniff my legs and nuzzle my shoulders in his adorable and not entirely unconvincing efforts to distract me as he walked onto my lap and attempted to leap over my arms. I can't really blame Moosh as he is just hoping to find you. We know that he's a busy guy so he has a big fancy activity mat that he likes. Since we had no plans to tour the shelter, he good naturedly settled onto his mat and we happily played for a while. He'd take breaks to come to the front for a snack and try to fake me out. One bite of kibble, "Oh hey, what is that? I can go check," he'd seem to say as he'd amiably try to step over me. I was totally onto him, but he's just so cute and sweet that I had to laugh as he tried his best. He won my heart and I'm sure he'll win yours too, so please come to the Manhattan Care Center to meet him.
