My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Squiggy is mostly a black miniature poodle with perhaps a bit of Yorkshire terrier in the mix. This sweet little cutie is around 4 years of age and weighs approx. 16 pounds. His original dad was a trucker who passed away so he loves to go on rides and be with his person. Squiggy loves to play fetch with his ball and run! He is athletic, has lots of energy, and goes up and down stairs easily. He also enjoys snuggling and is happy relaxing in his bed or playing with his squeaky toys. He listens well and knows several commands - come, stay, sit, leave it. He is crate-trained, housebroken, and good on a leash.

Squiggy was loved and is a love, and friendly with everyone. He bonds quickly with his person and can become protective of his human. While he knows commands and is house-trained additional training may be needed and potential adopters must be willing to hire a trainer if the need arises. Squiggy’s breed requires regular grooming, so be sure to consider that before applying for him.

Because Squiggy is small, he needs to be protected from rough treatment by children or big dogs. He should be supervised outdoors to be protected from raptors and other outdoor predators. To avoid injury, he will need steps to get on and off the couch and other furniture. Squiggy must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. Squiggy will need leash walking to be healthy and would like a secure, fenced yard to run and play around if possible. He would do best in an all-adult household since that is what he was used to.

Squiggy is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. He is ready for his fabulous forever home!

Squiggy is available for adoption to approved in-state and out-of-state applicants.
His in-state adoption fee is $250. His out-of-state adoption fee is $450 and includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company. He can be transported almost anywhere within the continental United States.
