Here's what the humans have to say about me:
LUCY is a sweet, 8 year old RED and WHITE PERSIAN that has been spayed and has lovely yellow gold eyes. She is just over 7 pounds. She has been fully vetted, is up to date on shots, dewormed, microchipped, and is FeLV/FIV negative, and is ready to go to her forever home.
Lucy came to rescue from a hoarding situation. She has had a dental done and had 2 teeth extracted. She loves to run zoomies and play with many different toys. She was extremely matted when she came in and had to be shaved. Her fur is still growing out. She tolerates brushing on her head and back. Anything that goes around the belly or the back side is not tolerated as well. She will need an owner that is dedicated to taking her to a groomer that is well versed in Persian lion cuts and will probably need grooming every 6 months. Because of this, she must go to a home that is also well versed in persians and their grooming needs. Her eyes and face also need to be cleaned out on a regular basis.
Lucy is a sweet, laid back kitty. She will do well in most homes. She can hear, but she looks to have had a lot of ear problems and sleeps very deeply and startles if touched when she is deeply asleep. She came in with other kitties and will do well with other kitties. She also does well with the resident Boxer. She loves to be around her people and loves pets. She can usually be found sitting on the back of the couch right beside her human. She leans into head and neck scratches. She does not tolerate being picked up for long. A home with older children that understand that will probably be ok.
Lucy has arthritis in her left front elbow and will need monthly injections of Solencia from the vet. She also gets Cosequin every day in her food. Because of this she is listed as special needs.
