The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org
Wally, born 3/8/2024 is an 13 week old French Bulldog and Boston Terrier mix. Wally was named, because he is wall eyed. This just makes him extra special. Wally for wall eyed or for baby walrus, because he’s a short chunky puppy. Both make him so much cuter. Wally has the best and sweetest personality. He is such a cuddler and loves to sit with you. He will sit right next to you and put his paw on you. Wally loves other dogs. Loves to play chase and wrestle. He will chase butterflies and leaves in the yard. He loves water and loves to play in the sprinklers when they come on. We are working on crate training and potty training; it is a work in progress! Wally is looking for a home willing to put in the work to show him how to be a good canine citizen.
Adoption includes his first vet exam, vaccines to date, dewormer and microchip. Adopter will be responsible for following their vaccine and deworming schedule with your vet. Adopter will be responsible for his neuter when he is of age, since he is much too young now. We recommend six months old. This is not included in the adoption fee unless you use the rescue vet. If you use the rescue vet in Hesperia to neuter, the $100 deposit will be used towards the cost and the rescue will cover the rest.
You will be required to pay a $100 neuter deposit that will be returned to you when Wally is neutered and proof is sent to the rescue, unless you use the rescue vet in Hesperia.
Adoption fee $600; plus $100 neuter deposit
We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.
Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. If we all agree on the placement, then the dog will stay with you that day.
