Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Location: Sioux Falls, SD
Hello! I'm Kenya, and I am a Shepherd/Cattle Dog (best guess) mix. I am looking for a home that is going to be patient with me and is willing to work with me. I am a very sweet girl once I feel comfortable, just ask my foster mom! When I feel safe, I become a playful pup who loves to give kisses and receive belly rubs. I can be a snuggler at times, but I prefer to initiate those cuddles. I love balls and rope toys, as well as dog safe chews. I am very food motivated, but I don't like to share. When I eat or receive high value treats, I feel more comfortable in my own room or eating them in my kennel. I have enjoyed playing with some of the dogs in my foster home, but my favorite time is when I get one-on-one time with my foster mom. I would do best as the only dog, but with the right dog, would do well with a fur sibling. The one exception to preferring one-on-one time is when I get to play with another foster pup in my home, Zoro.
Because of my herding nature, a home without little children is a must. Older children who are respectful of boundaries and will give me my space when I need or want it would be just fine. I do have some anxiety, which I am taking meds for, so I will need a family who is willing to continue these meds as well.
I am house and kennel trained now that I've adjusted to my foster mom's schedule. I am a very good listener and will sit when told. I am working hard with other commands, and am a quick learner. I have mastered stay with toys, but still working on stay in other scenarios. My foster mom says that I am just the sweetest girl and is doing everything she can to help me find the perfect forever home!

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
