Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is the magical, wonderful OZ! Oz is a one year old red merle Aussie with a gorgeous coat and two beautiful blue eyes, and the cutest wiggly nub of a tail. Oz weighs 46 pounds, a perfect size for a standard Aussie boy. Oz is the typical Velcro Aussie who only wants to be where you are and will follow you everywhere. But he’s not clingy, and will hang out in the office or even kitchen with you and not bother you, calmly lying in the floor and happy to just be with you. Oz loves other dogs who are willing to play, and respects the space of those who don’t want to play. He also likes to play fetch with a ball, and will chase it as long as you are willing to throw it. He’s housetrained and crate trained, sleeps in his crate at night and patiently waits to go outside in the morning. He knows some obedience commands and will gladly do whatever you want for a treat (treats are the BEST!). Another one of Oz’s favorite things to do is play in water, and he will be in any water available to him. He’s good on a leash, and great in the car, happily jumping in to go for a ride, and rides in the back seat like a champ. This is a dog who would be perfect for outdoor adventures on hiking trails, swimming at the lake, or jogging through the neighborhood. He wants to do all of the things! And he never met a stranger. He’s very friendly and loving, and thinks everyone whose path crosses his was there to make friends with him. And with his looks and sweet charm, who could resist him?
Oz had a hard first year of life. He had an owner who fell on hard times and had to relinquish him. The second family who took him in only had him a couple of months before finding his exuberance to be too much for their three young children, all under the age of 6, so again, Oz was rehomed. Oz is sweet as sugar, but does get bouncy when excited, and can easily knock a small child over unintentionally. He is a very good boy, and his few No’s would be: no cats, no children under the age of 8, and no small dogs, although this is on a case-by-case basis. Oz loves people and would be thrilled to have some older kids in his life to play with him. Oz is current on vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventatives, and is microchipped. He has been neutered, and tested negative for heartworms. He’s in perfect health, and is the total package! Please watch his video to see how sweet and smart he is, and his energy level when outside. You’ll fall in love! He is available for a $300 adoption fee, and an adoption application is required and can be found here. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HMm-0chq5ruKJe27eLFu6rOdHxbBvd06?rtpof=true&usp=drive_fs
