Meet Canuta. This spunky girl is all heart! She's super affectionate and loves nothing more than a good snuggle session. She also loves stuffed animals, puzzle toys, and taking walks-especially hitting the trail for a nice hike. Sometimes her youthful enthusiasm can lead to being a bit mouthy, but with consistent training and enriching activities, Canuta will learn to channel her energy in the right direction. After getting her playful energy out, she can't wait to get back to cuddling. When she wags her bob tail and leans in for some love you can't help but smile! If you are looking for a loving and loyal friend to be right by your side, look no further and ask about her today!

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.

Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.

Our spay/neuter clinic performs surgeries on both cats & dogs, and we also offer low-cost vaccination clinics every week.

Our organization's goal is to do everything in our power to prevent euthanasia due to 'homelessness'.
