Hi, I'm Canuta, the cuddliest cattle dog around! My foster family nicknamed me "The Noodler for the way I noodle my way into people's hearts with my snuggles and loyalty. I'm a silly and affectionate girl who loves a good hike as much as a good nap. I'm still working on curbing some of my youthful enthusiasm, so I would do best in a family without young children. But with consistent training I am learning to channel my energy in the right direction. I'm a great outdoor adventure buddy and a terrific cuddle companion for cozy nights. The only thing bigger than my ears is my heart! If you are looking for more laughs and love in your life I might just be the perfect friend for you.

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.

Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.

Animal Friends Alliance is a non-profit, adoption guarantee cat and dog shelter and low-cost spay/neuter clinic.
Our spay/neuter clinic performs surgeries on both cats & dogs, and we also offer low-cost vaccination clinics every week.

Our organization's goal is to do everything in our power to prevent euthanasia due to 'homelessness'.
