Hi there, my name is Shadow and I am a gorgeous 1-2yr old female German Shepherd. I am located near Covington, Tennessee and am available for local adoption.
Here are 7 fun facts about me & my ideal home!
1. I have experienced severe trauma in my life that has me very cautious of hoomans. I wish I could tell my backstory but I simply can't bring it up. I've been in a great foster home that is teaching me what love and care is.
2. I MUST have a kind helper dog in my adoptive home. I need a pupper who will be patient with me, help build my confidence, and eventually one for me to play with. Check out my video to see me playing with my foster sibling!
3. My ideal person or home is with someone who has TONS of patience! I take a long time to warm up and get the courage to come out of my shell. I'd like a quiet home, one without a lot of sudden movements and changes.
4. I need to have a fenced in yard where I can safely explore. It is best to keep me leashed until I feel comfortable with my environment.
5. Please don't mistake these qualities as I'm a difficult dog, I'm really not. I've been failed by hoomans so many times that I have a challenging time learning to trust.
6. I am CAT, horse, & chicken neutral! I don't care about them. Did you see me being the bestest girl in my video around the kitty?
7. If you are patient, loving, kind, willing to work with me, talk sweetly, have a kind companion dog, and are looking for a stunning new family member - please consider adopting me!

***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION***
-ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted
-We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply
-All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered
-Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter
-An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog
-Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
-Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications
-All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time
-Not able to adopt? Consider FOSTERING one of our wonderful dogs!
