Santorini was from a group of 9 cats surrendered to the shelter. He is a young and very handsome boy, slim and athletic! Santorini is pretty skittish, but has come a long way since arriving into foster care. Santo would do well having a safe area/sanctuary in his new home to run to if scared. In foster care, no sooner does he reach the sanctuary, he leaves it to re-engage! Seems like he just needs a minute to reset.
He likes to play with his wand and has super-fast reflexes. Santo is not a lap cat and has not yet learned to be relaxed when picked up. He has come a long way but is still a work in progress!
At breakfast time, he rubs against his foster parents’ legs and is very friendly/willing to receive strokes of affection. For the rest of the day, Santo likes to tease us; he will come near but when you reach out to pet him, he will step away so that he is just one hand width too far away! But with a little ingenuity (e.g. wand play, etc.), you can bring him in close enough so that you can get your pets in. He likes to be petted when you can reach him and will delightfully purr away!
This kitten has perfect litter habits. He is not declawed and does some scratching on furniture/rugs. Nail cutting may present a challenge at the moment but you can touch his paws.
Santo has two types of meows. One is a regular cat meow but most of the time you will hear his ultra-high pitched meow!
Santo is a happy kitten who is being fostered in a home with two resident cats. He loves playing with them and is quite the little athlete. He is fast and a strong jumper, with an XL tail to help him balance during his acrobatics. Santo is social with the other 2 cats and enjoys being playfully chased around the house. He really comes out of his shell with other cats, so he should go to a home with a friendly social cat to help him become more confident.
The time is right for him to continue his journey to build trust and grow/bond with his future adopter in his forever home!

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $200 per adult cat, and $250 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $200.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $150 per cat vs. $200 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
