Hello, I'm Dipper! I'm a sweet, friendly, playful, and smart fellow. I love learning new things and I already know some basic commands. I'm a quick learner, so if you want to teach me more tricks, I'm all ears! I'm a bit of a soccer star, so I hope you have a big yard for me to show off my skills. I love playing with toys and will happily chase a ball all day. I'm gentle when taking treats, no need to worry about your fingers! I prefer to be the only pet, I just love all the attention. I promise to be your loyal friend and constant companion. Adopt me, and I'll fill your life with joy and fun!

The Allegany County Animal Shelter serves as the municipal shelter for Allegany County and is located at 716 Furnace Street in Cumberland. For many years, the shelter served as the final destination for nearly 85% of the animals that entered it. In late 2010, a group of passionate citizens led the charge to change the nature of the shelter with a goal of doing as much as possible for every animal, every day. It was the first step on the journey to becoming A Shelter of Hope.
