A Little Bit About Me

Jazzy will bat her beautiful blue eyes at you and you will be smitten. And just like the super athletic, rambunctious girl she is, she'll steal your heart with a wink and a smile. Don't let her fool you. She's got a big play style and she'll rule the school yard if you don't lay some ground rules.

A tired dog is a good dog and an exhausted dog is even better. This popular shelter adage illustrates Jazzy to a 'T'. Once she's exercised and thrown some stuffed toys around she's more focused and easy to hang with. Training and exercise are a must. You'll be guaranteed a fantastic companion with some simple structure and a daily dose of sits and downs.

As for doggie playmates, her people need to select her playmates carefully. Her play style looks maniacal, but it's typical of many dogs and is fine when pared with a like-minded playmate. She can be overwhelming for less enthusiastic dogs, so out of good manners and social consciousness help everyone out by making good choices for Jazzy.

In the wide world of dog management, Jazzy is an easy sell. With a modest approach to training and exercise you'll be rewarded 10 times over with an awesome and loyal friend.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
