My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Shampoo!

Shampoo entered Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray, and when she wasn't claimed, we rescued her on June 12th. She is 12 years old, weighs 7 lbs., and is very sweet.

Shampoo was under the weather during her first month as a Frosted Face. Happily, she then went on a two-week Frosted Fling for extra TLC in a quiet, comfortable home and began to blossom. Since then, Shampoo had spay and dental surgery and recovered while on a second Fling.

Here's the latest from her Fling Mom:

"Shampoo is back at FFF and ready for her forever home! She made great progress this last two weeks. She manages stairs on her own, uses a doggie door, and is now house-trained. She enjoys being outside roaming the yard or sleeping outside in various dog beds I have.

Shampoo is quiet and gentle with dogs, cats, and humans. She loves food and takes her meds easily right in with her food. She is good on walks and loves dog parks where she can run off-leash and roll in the grass.

Shampoo is good traveling in a car without a crate. She is easy to bathe, walk, feed, transport, carry, leash up, and hold. She loves getting head and ear scratches. Shampoo has really blossomed into a sweet and goofy little lady. She won't be a needy addition to your household and would be easy for a child to care for and take on walks.

Shampoo doesn't "show" well on-site as she is not vying for attention. She now values human attention and a house routine but isn't yet able to convey that to potential adopters. So, if you see her walking around the play yard while you're visiting, please see it for what it is: Shampoo needs you!"

If you have a spot in your heart for a sweet, gentle grandma, you will find a loving companion in Shampoo. She currently lives in a Foster home, so please email adopt@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule a time to meet her.
