Hello, my name is Harper Lee and I’m only two years old. My mom named me after the Author of “To Kill a Mockingbird”. Mom was recently diagnosed with a medical condition and she realized because I’m still very much like a puppy that I just need more attention than she can handle right now, so she contacted ASF and now I’m with my new foster.
I miss my mom, but my new human siblings are so much fun. I take turns sleeping with them and we play outside a lot. My foster mom and dad are teaching me to walk on a leash and I’m learning to use the dog door. I haven’t had any accidents lately except when I get really excited, foster mom recommends you don’t pet me until I calm down.
Foster mom says I’m pretty loud, but I think my human foster sister is louder. She thinks I’d be really great at agility or maybe a therapy dog because I’m super friendly. But I’m also really enthusiastic and might be a bit much for a small child. Foster mom thinks I could unintentionally knock one over.
I’ve only escaped once and as soon as I saw my leash I returned, and I love riding in the car and going places. I really hope my foster mom finds me an active home with some kid siblings as I’m really enjoying my time with my foster siblings or another dog to play with.
