Hi there! I'm Mookie,
When you walk into my space, I’ll greet you enthusiastically, doing pretty much anything for some head pets and love! I don’t like being picked up, but I do like to climb into my foster mom’s lap sometimes. If you’re on the floor, chances are I’ll be right next to you, soaking up all the attention you have to offer.
I recently had a bond mate but we decided we had irreconcilable difference so I would do best as a single bunny with a lot of human interaction.
I’m an energetic gal who loves to run and play. You'll often hear the pitter-patter of my feet as I romp around my enclosure. When it comes to the litter box, I’m pretty good at using it, but I need it to be big and clean. So, be prepared to either clean it every day or provide plenty of options. And yes, sometimes a few cocoa puffs might end up outside the box, but hey, nobody’s perfect.
Now, let’s talk about food. I love hay of all kinds, but my favorite is Timothy hay from Oxbow. And treats? Bring them on - I love them all! Dried banana chips, blueberries, Oxbow Simple Rewards treats, and Selective Naturals treats from Science Selective are just a few to name.
I’m still young and learning, so I do need a bit of supervision, especially when I’m out exploring. Sometimes I get a little too curious and might nibble on things I shouldn't, but as long as you keep an eye on me and block off any cords, I’ll behave just fine. I currently share the house with a cat, and we get along just fine. I don't pay much attention to him, and he doesn't bother me either. I've never been around children, but probably would hide if they are loud and energetic.
Lastly, since I am a Lionhead bunny, I need consistent grooming - especially around my butt and "skirt." To help me maintain my soft coat, a weekly brushing is a must, and when I’m shedding, I’ll need it twice a week. But don’t worry, I don’t mind brushing sessions!
So, if you're looking for an adorable and energetic bunny to brighten up your home, look no further than me, Mookie! I promise to fill your days with love, laughter, and plenty of bunny antics!

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.
If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
