Hello everyone, meet Tuffy!
Tuffy is a 2 month old female kitten who was recently diagnosed with FeLV, the feline leukemia virus.
Tuffy was found on a busy road on June 1st, 2024. Our family took her in, quarantining her from our other cat, Tina, just to be safe until we got her blood work and vaccines administered. Unfortunately, Tuffy’s blood work came back positive for FeLV. While it hurts our hearts to rehome her, we sadly cannot keep her due to the fact we already have another cat. We do not want to risk the virus spreading to our senior cat.
FeLV cats are contagious to other cats, but can live in homes with other FeLV positive felines. We are hoping to rehome her as soon as possible so she doesn’t have to stay quarantined to one room.
