Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi! My name is Rocco, and I am new here at HSEC! Staff and my fosters say I am one of the sweetest, big, goofy guys you have ever met. I am still showing off my gentle personality! Stay tuned to learn more about me!
Rocco has tested positive for heartworms. HSEC gives heartworm-positive dogs a course of antibiotics. They then receive monthly heartworm prevention, as any dog should. We recommend speaking to your veterinarian before adopting a heartworm-positive dog. Interested in adopting Rocco? Head over to hsecarolina.org to apply today!

More about this rescue
The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
