Take a good look at this adorable face. Her personality is as sweet as her face is. Her name is Aubrey and she is an American pitbull mix. She was brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/28 and placed under protective custody. The time for the protective custody is up now and she is available for rescue or adoption. Aubrey weighs 48 pounds and is about one year of age. She does beautifully on a leash. She has been used in testing for compatibility with several dogs because of her temperament and has done well with each one. Aubrey did her business when she got out of her kennel. She has the most beautiful eyes and is sporting an Adopt Me scarf in hopes that some wonderful person will take notice of her availability. She does not jump, nor is she hyperactive. Instead, she is calm, cool and collected! However, she is lively and active, friendly, and very sweet natured. There is so much to like about this charming youngster. She let me pet her without any resistance and seemed to enjoy the physical contact! Even though she acknowledges that the folks at the shelter have been very kind to her, she's yearning to have a new life and new home with people who would love her, treat her with TLC and give her a life inside.
