Introducing Ms. Dusty! She’s the type of dog to be looked over as she’s just kinda… ordinary! Her looks are basic, she’s a mutt, quiet, reserved, etc… She just doesn’t stand out in any way. Well, let me tell you, she is just the perfect lady! We absolutely adore her in every way. She’s simple, behaved, obedient, calm, affectionate, non-demanding, polite, we really have nothing negative to say about this girl. She landed in our rescue after her owner (who definitely loved and cared for her) tragically passed away. She was taken to the local animal control and just sat in her kennel confused on what had happened to her. No messes, screaming, barking, panting.. just quietly sat there waiting. She immediately caught our eye in a sea of homeless dogs.
The home we are looking for Dusty is -
🌼 We would like to place her with another dog if possible. She seems to open up more with a buddy. We are unsure about her cat sociability.
🌼 Dusty is a shy girl, so she will need an owner who will understand this. She will shy away from new situations & will just need time to adjust to a new lifestyle. She is a very compliant dog just a bit nervous at times. We imagine she’s never had to deal with being shuffled around like this & will become very comfortable with consistency in her life.
🌼 She can be somewhat of a flight risk in a new situation, so we are going to say no young children. 12 & up.
Dusty is just what we call a PERFECT foster dog that had been dealt some unfortunate circumstances. We don’t get many of these gems as we mostly rescue medical cases. She is in perfect health besides a few extra pounds that she needs to lose. Please don’t pass by the ordinary, looking dogs as they truly are some of the best companions out there!

Dusty is current on her vaccinations including Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella. She is heartworm & fecal tested, microchipped, and spayed. She also has a current blood panel indicating good health. We believe her to be 4-7 years old & she’s currently around 55lbs.
