Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scrappy is a whimsical-looking Terrier/Maltese mix who's about 3 years old and 20 pounds. This poor guy had been attacked at some point while out on the street and had a large laceration that was becoming infected when someone found him and brought him to the shelter. They cleaned it all up and neutered him and he was adopted but then returned FOUR days later -- they decided they didn't have time for a dog! Imagine how this poor guy felt.
Well, Scrappy has now entered a new chapter in his life which is full of TLC. Scrappy is ecstatic and loves wiggling all over the floor for belly rubs. He's super affectionate and eager to please. Scrappy is also super smart and will benefit from some basic training. He has some resource guarding of food/treats, which is common for dogs who have had to fend for themselves. But this is predictable and easily resolved thru training.
Scrappy is very loving and playful (likes to rub against you like a cat!) and has moderately high energy. He definitely needs "a job," regular exercise, or something to focus his energy on (or he might find something to do that his humans may not approve of - LOL!). Scrappy gets along with other dogs but would prefer to be the king of the home. He would be best in an adult-only home or with older teenagers.
If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Scrappy, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Please go to our website www.k9bestfriendsforever.com and click on "Adopt" which will take you to our online application form.
