My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dora is a sweet girl who is learning to trust us.
She is still scared but follows us around the house.
She likes my resident dogs. Loves to be outside.
She sleeps in her kennel at night. She does bark
when she wants to go out potty. She is working
on going potty outside. She is doing an awesome
job and we will keep working with her.

Age: 12 years old

Breed: Maltese

Weight: 5lbs

Kid-friendly: She is a nervous nelly but would do great!

Dogs: She would benefit from another dog in the home!

Cats: Unknown but couldn't imagine having an issue.

Crate trained: She likes to be around her person so she will bark in a crate.

Potty trained: She will go on a pee pad.

Health concerns: Dora has 5 mammary masses on her mammary chain. Due to this, she will not be spayed. Dora will need her ears cleaned frequently.

Current medications & estimated costs: Possible ear medications + cleanings

Adoption fee: $100

As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)

Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.

$50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.

Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.

Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.

Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!
