Dog's Name: Everly (EVE0624JNSFS)
Estimated Breed: Retriever/Australian Shepherd/Hound MIX
Approximate Age: 1 year
Approximate Weight: 40 lbs
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Say hello to Everly, or as her friends call her, Evie! This sweet, one-year-old Retriever/Australian Shepherd/Hound mix made her way from Tennessee along with her sister, Ezlyn, who has already been adopted. Now it’s Evie’s turn to find her forever home! She’s currently thriving in her foster home, where she’s proven to be a sweet and loving girl who absolutely adores people, especially children. Though she can be a little nervous around men at first, she quickly warms up if they move slowly, showing her affectionate and trusting side. Evie is a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs, having done great with all the neighborhood pups she’s met so far.
Full of energy, she loves to run and play in the yard, making her a perfect companion for an active family. While she’s still learning leash manners and tends to pull strongly, her foster mom says Evie is incredibly smart and motivated, so with a little patience and training, she’ll have it down in no time. At night, Evie is a perfect sleeper, quietly snoozing for a full eight hours after just a tiny bit of fuss when she first settles in. During the day, she’s working on crate training, but definitely prefers being close to her people or at least in sight of them.
Evie’s a big fan of food, but never guards her resources, making mealtime a breeze. She’s a bit unsure about car rides and is still getting used to them, but her foster family is helping her grow more comfortable with short trips every day. On the bright side, she’s already showing great progress with house training—no accidents yet! If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic, and loving dog, Evie could be the perfect addition to your family. Submit an application today and give this Tennessee beauty the forever home she deserves!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
