Meet Emily, a precious 1 1/2 year old golden girl who came to us after her family developed allergies to her and her 2 golden brothers. Unfortunately she spent most of her time in their backyard, so wasn’t exposed to much before coming into rescue.

In a very short time, Emily has learned the pleasures of being a full member of a family. She loves walks, playing with toys, and hanging out with her foster doggie brother. Once she settles in, Emily loves human attention and being petted is the greatest comfort for her. She is a very loving girl. However, she will need humans who understand she is initially timid and will need time to feel safe and comfortable.

She has lots of energy to play and run around, but she is also able to settle down nicely. Emily gets two 1 mile walks a day currently. She is a moderate energy girl. She gets along very well with other dogs, and takes great comfort from them. We will be looking for another dog in her forever home to help continue building her confidence.

Emily learns new things quickly and would benefit from a family that enjoys training their pup. She loves to learn and is happy to do it. Emily can get spooked by new noises and new situations she hasn’t been exposed to before, including car rides, so she will need patience and positive reinforcement to support her.
