My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please welcome Tofu. He is a 10 years young chi mix. The mix part of him is super fluffy!!! He reminds me of a little Arctic fox minus the fluffy tail.

He came to SAAP is pretty bad shape! He had a large open tumor on his backside and we learned that he had exposed dental roots. So, you can imagine the pain he must have been feeling.

Jump forward to today and the tumor has been removed and he had extensive dental work. Good news!! The tumor was NOT cancerous!! Tofu is starting to bounce back and show us his personality! He is finishing up one last round of medications and should be available for adoption on July 13.

He is a sweet little boy! He is fairly quiet until I am filling up the food bowls . He lets me know that he is ready to eat!! He seems to enjoy the lazy life! So if you are looking for a cuddle buddy, he is your man!

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?
