My name is Dixie! I am about 2-3 yrs old, 50lbs and a lab/pit mix. I showed up to the salt bins LaFollette, TN in January where they fed and housed me at their workplace. I was skin and bone and trusted no humans. Now that I know not all humans are bad, I would love to find the one that I can spend my life with to love and train me and take me on adventures! I love to chase birds, squirrels, etc so I will definitely need a large fenced-in yard. I LOVE car rides and to play fetch and tug-of-war! I need more socializing with other animals, I like to chase smaller animals so lets not have kitties in the house! I've not yet met any kids large or small. I love to chew and will need to be trained and monitored with this...bones are my favorite to keep me pre-occupied! Zoomies are another fav and long walks! I need an active, patient, loving human who can tolerate the occasional accident or chewed up inanimate object while taking the time to properly train me.
