My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Teddy is a sweet and affectionate soul who has faced more than his fair share of hardships. When we found him, he was emaciated and suffering from non-contagious mange, but his spirit remained unbroken. Despite the challenges, Teddy's loving nature shines through every day.

This resilient boy is on the path to recovery, and with a little TLC, he's steadily gaining weight and his coat is starting to show signs of improvement. Teddy has a heart full of love to give, and he melts the hearts of everyone he meets with his gentle, affectionate demeanor.

Teddy is calm, affectionate, and has no chewing or digging tendencies. He gets along wonderfully with all dogs and people of all ages. Teddy is tender-hearted, sweet, and treat-motivated. He is potty and crate trained.

Teddy is a couch potato, great on a leash, and is doing great in the bath. He is eager to please and truly a loving boy who loves to be with his humans. Teddy is now ready to find his forever home. He's looking for a family who can continue his journey of healing, surrounded by love and care. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a truly special dog, Teddy is waiting to be your loyal companion and best friend. Come meet this incredible dog and see the magic of his sweet spirit for yourself. Teddy is adoptable and eagerly waiting for a loving family to give him the second chance he deserves.Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We require an approved adoption application on file before scheduling meets with our dogs. You can find the application here (www.bigpawsozarks.org/adoption-application). Please email info@bigpawsoftheozarks.org if you have specific questions about an available dog.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is thorough in order to ensure dogs go to the best possible home. More about this rescue

Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We aim to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in our local community. We specialize in large breed dogs (over 40 pounds) but do get the occasional small paw in rescue too! We work closely with shelters and other rescues in our community to target and save dogs who are at risk of euthanasia or have found themselves falling between the cracks of our animal rescue community.
