AGE - 2-3 years
GENDER - Female
MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Gracie is a precious wee girl, just 5 pounds! Not only is she adorable, but she is super sweet and very playful. She loves being right with her human whether it's playing outside or cuddling on the sofa. Fully grown at just 5 pounds, her tiny size makes her much more vulnerable to accidental injury and the heightens her ability to escape through small spaces. We will look for an adoption quite experienced with tiny dogs when we choose her adoptive home. Gracie is in good health, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an adopter who has consistent time to spend time with Gracie! A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give her room to run and play more securely with her adopter. She is not suited to small children or to homes where she may create a fall risk for the very elderly, but she does loves other small dogs.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle match the needs of Gracie as well as our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Gracie at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting her and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.
