This sweet girl is Tori and she is looking for her forever home where she can shower you with love and affection. She’s great with kids, making her the perfect family companion! She is potty-trained, well-behaved and is a quiet girl who doesn’t bark. Her calm and gentle nature makes her easy to live with, while her social butterfly personality means she loves meeting new people and making new friends. She has been a perfect house guest, she does not chew on anything so she is able to lounge around the house while her foster family is not home and she loves sleeping in bed with her little human foster sister or her foster parents. As perfect as she is, everyone has their quarks and Tori would do best in a home without cats, as her natural prey drive is strong. She walks great on a leash but if she catches a scent then she can start to pull but does well with correction. Some of her favorite things to do in her foster home is cuddle on the couch with all of the family members while watching a movie and listen to her human foster brother play cello. TAPS-Tazewell Animal Protective Society was founded in 1958 in Pekin Illinois in a building donated by the City of Pekin on River Road. In 1979, rapidly rising river water forced the evacuation of the animals. Once again, the City of Pekin stepped in and donated a building for the animals. Several moves later, and with the help and generosity of many volunteers and community members, TAPS now has a new home at 100 TAPS Lane. Last year we celebrated 50 year of caring for the homeless animals of Central Illinois.
