My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Niall! The precious boy who loves to snuggle his head up to your chest and take a quick snooze. Niall is a gentle guy and enjoys a leisurely walk with his human companion. If you are looking for a lowkey guy that loves love, then look no further!

Notes from foster :

Oh my goodness I love him, what a precious dog he is. He's so gentle and loving to everyone. Listens very well, doesn't pull on walks at all. Very easy to walk. Never a bark out of him. He loves his meal time and is not picky at all. Oftentimes he will just sit with his head against your chest without moving, which is just adorable. Loves being next to you and cuddling up while you do whatever you do. He sleeps like a baby. I do not understand how he hasnt been adopted yet, he might be the most adoptable foster I've ever had so far.

More about this shelter

The Maryland SPCA connects wonderful pets to loving owners. We are not affiliated with any national animal organization, and we do not receive any government or United Way funding. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect of animals through fostering the humane relationship between animals and people. We operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.

To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered before going into a new home. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care. In addition, a free Positive Pooch class is available to our dog adopters.

There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We pride ourselves on providing premium care to the animals in a clean, pleasant environment. Our adoption staff works diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.

We transport animals from other shelters to our adoption center to help more animals get adopted. We also help pet owners find new homes for their pets so their animals don’t need to enter shelter care.
