Poplio is a super sweet girl of about 2 years old that just turned up at someone's home one day, looking for a good meal and some shelter. How she ever came to be out in the big world all alone is beyond us, since she's so very friendly and she doesn't have a stitch of shyness about her. Poplio is easy going and she has a warm, lovable personality. She just goes with the flow and as soon as she meets you, she's ready to climb right into your arms to get some attention. Poplio seems just fine with the cats in her area and she'd likely be good with a feline friend. Come meet this sweetie pie! Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
