Pretty lady Chewy just wants to go home, really. This 7 year old girl spent all her life in a home and now here she is, starting all over again. Chewy arrived with another older cat, Nikki, due to their owner moving and not being able to bring them along. (Nikki is a 12 year old all black male). The two don't really need to go together....they'd just be happy to be out of here and in a great home either way! Chewy is a gentle, mild-mannered cat that is made for laps, cozy beds, and sunny windowsills. She's not overly active and she would be so content to lay beside you and have you pet her all day long. She's a very sweet girl that hopes to join your family real soon. Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#73085 5/31/24

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
