Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Waldo Age: 1 Year Breed: Lab/Shepherd Gender: Male Weight: 60 Good with kids: Yes Good with dogs: Yes - More Dominate is best Good with cats: No, chases too often Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Yes Foster location: Appleton Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Adoption fee: 400 Adoption includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Bio: Here's the scoop on my foster boy; Waldo and his 5 siblings all spent months in a shelter, and all joined us at almost 1 year old. Growing up in a shelter can instill some quirks, but, for him there's nothing too out of the norm. Waldo does struggle with food aggression, more so towards non dominate dogs. This is actually pretty easy to manage, by feeding him in his kennel and waiting for everyone else to he done, for him to come back out. Generally his trigger is more so caused by protecting something he already has vs. Trying to get things from another dog. He loves to play with the other dogs, snuggle, and is incredibly smart. Every event we go to, Waldo has been on his best behavior and hasn't meet another dog or human he won't try to be friends with. With that said, he would likely do better in a home with a dominate dog vs submissive. Or would be totally content being the only dog there. Waldo kennels himself easily, is highly eager to please, treat motivated, learns fast, good in the car and on leash, and is happiest being his humans sidekick. He's very go with the flow and enjoys napping when there's not much going on too. Oh, and he loves laying in between the shower curtains or napping in the tub. I really do enjoy having this boy as a foster, despite some bumps in the road, and would love to see him go into the loving outgoing home he deserves. A family who understands correction, training, and doesn't just pretend they'll work with a dog. Trust us we get lied to alot and sometimes the smallest grumble leads to people running back to return when they could just use a firm 'no' and be done with the 'issue' Waldo is eager to please and will be amazing in the right environment.
